Brain One's interest in doing things in the present rather than trading off his considerable reputation means he's almost constantly at work in his studio; it's not unusual for him to turn up for a radio interview clutching a new piece he's finished off that morning. That many of these tracks never see the light of day was a source of concern to Brian's assistant Marlon Weyeneth,????? K-Swiss ????? ????? ???, who's compiled this album from the heaps of DATs littering the Eno studio. Brian's fans are split by a desire to hear him repeat old glories and a simultaneous longing to hear him do something groundbreaking. It's a lot to live up to. Curiosities sort of sidesteps that anticipation by just presenting the music - no conceptual baggage, no sleevenotes. Just Brian and his machines making some rather lovely noises. Apart from two remixedtracks from the unfortunate Headcandy CD-ROM (one with trusty old mucker Robert Fripp) and one extended version of a track from The Drop,??????? Skechers ????? ????? ???, all of the music here is previously unreleased. It runs the gamut from mechanistic digital funk (slithery basslines, stiff drums and ghostly percussive clatter) to the 'Unwelcome Jazz' of The Drop. There'sspectral ambient meanderings and a spot of the experiments with processed vocalese that he's lately become interested in. There's even a rather beautiful little organ solo, entitled "My Lonely Organ" (Fnaaar). The thing that unites most of this stuff is Eno's rhythmic sense. Despite his reputation as the Godfather of Ambient,????? Adidas ????? ??? ??? ???? ????? ? ???????, Eno's love of funk and Africangrooves has been as strong an influence on his work as Cardew or Cage. There's a kind of non-funky funkiness (what do you expect from a fifty-something white Englishman?)at work, which gives his rhythmic constructions a distinct personality. Eno also gets some of the best bass sounds known to man, and that's the key to what makes him so great. In an age where any off-the-shelf synth or software gives anyone access to instant sonic wonderment,he still has an immediately recognisable sonic palette. As he said to Lester Bangs 25 years ago, it takes a day to learn how to use a synthesizer, and five years to learn what not to do with it. Even at its most sketchy and provisional,??????? New Balance ????? ??????? m340ee ? ???, Eno's music resonates and seduces in a way that little other electronica can. Let's hope Marlon gets Volume 2 together soon... ???????: Bangalore Other UK Like Susan Rice she ed611736c445de60e3a4e3930f6150a8 |
28.10.2013, 10:21 - feebsori - Hohlbratze - 1013 Posts The Tech Report Every once in a while, parajumpers jakke oslo, you find a deal you just are unable to pass up. This past saturday and sunday held just this type of moment for me. Along with spring officially in full swing, I went to REI on the lookout for a pair of fresh hiking shoes. Significantly to my surprise, the store ended up being having one of it's coveted used gear sales. There were a bunch of tables set out front with piles regarding returned merchandise available. Unfortunately, most of some tips i found was possibly defective or harmed in one way or any other: zipoff pants that were lacking a leg, coats with ripped regular sewing, parajumpers gobi jakke, etc. After choosing over a small parking lot full of products, My partner and i gave up on obtaining anything worth purchasing. But then I saw it. Off to the side, in a inconspicuouslooking pile lay bike seat bags, backpacks, and messenger bags. Like the some other gear I viewed, the majority of them were below enticing buys. But one item caught my attention: a diamond in the tough, as it were. It was the pristine Timbuk2 laptop bag, a new Blogger to be precise. Following giving it a quick visible onceover, I fumbled for the cost: $49! "That's 50% off of MSRP, so something's got to be drastically wrong with it," I was thinking to myself. Someone said further on the draw, finding the reason for the return: "used laptop did not suit well in bag." I read the idea twice just to ensure I hadn't developed a mistake. Save for a small "X" written in silver pen (to denote it's an "as is" item), this is a perfectly fine, parajumpers long bear jakke, seriously discounted Timbuk2 Blogger bag being sold among damaged merchandiseand all because several poor guy could not fit his 17" desktop computer replacement inside of the idea. I promptly involved my kungfu death grip on the bag along with didn't let it beyond my sight just before arriving at the cashier. Naturally, I bought it. After about 15 minutes with a few paper towels and a apply of orangescented Pine Sol (as a result of Google, I now know dusting polish will remove silver ink), I had a likenew Timbuk2 Blogger. By now, you're probably questioning why I'm therefore excited about a laptop bag, so it's only good that I give proper disclosure: I've always wished a Timbuk2 bag. In the past, I've stuck with a lot more generic and inexpensive competitors from brands similar to Samsonite and Targus. And while they may be generally capable, they often times lack all of the extra touches like a cushioned laptop compartment, any reinforced bottom, a soft cell phone pocket, as well as the build quality to previous several years. They're usually not every that special to look at, sometimes. Timbuk2 bags are different. A friend of mine has used the same one for up to 10 years now, and even though you pay a bit more for that reliability, you end up changing your bag more infrequently. Despite the longterm expense argument, I've always had a hard time handing over upwards of two hundred bucks on a laptop bag, regardless of how cool it might cause me to feel feel walking around campus. Now you can imagine our glee at seeking the discounted Timbuk2 Blogger. The actual Blogger is a great fit for my needs, as well. A verticallyoriented laptop bag is ideal for wearing while on my personal bicycle, and the added padding on the rear ensures my laptop won't sustain any damage by bouncing off of my rockhard oblique muscles. All right, maybe I can't be breaking everything on my lessthanperfectly toned body, but the padding continues to be a great comfort attribute. It also guarantees I won't have to worry about being so delicate with my bag for fear of denting my laptop. Coupled with a neoprene sleeve, the idea ends up cushioned by simply 1 to 2 inches of soppy foam on every side. For being sold being a laptop bag, I was really surprised at how much added storage space the Writer is packing. Not only can it fit my personal PSP, DS, cellular phone, an external hard drive, energy adapters, and a guide; it can even keep my largebody digital SLR in addition to extra lenses plus a flash. I think I've found my new trade event bag! Maybe Time passes a bit overboard along with how much I like to carry around, but it's refreshing to see a quality laptop bag with a lot of extra room for treats. Of course, no product is perfect. For all of space it packs, the actual Blogger is somewhat low in the organization department. My personal last bag couldn't carry nearly as a lot of items, but I can at least keep my own DS from scratching up my Sony psp and safely put away less frequently used items like USB cables. The Blogger is equipped with individual pouches pertaining to keys, a cell phone, and even writing items, but the main area still feels a little sparse overall. I'm going to rely more on individual cases to protect units, especially if I plan to toss my dslr in with everything else. You cannot win them all. Within my neverending quest to understand the tastes of many other tech enthusiasts, My spouse and i leave you with a few questions. 1st, what do you look for in the laptop bag? Do looks matter, adirondack parajumpers, or are you currently more concerned with making certain your laptop stays in one piece? Do you need a huge amount of storage space, or is your own laptop only staying toted around with its Hvac adapter? Are laptop bags a non reusable commodity to be swapped out annually, or have an individual been lugging around the identical pouch for the last decade? Feel free to tell me about your ideal bag from the comments belowI need something totally new to lust after right now, after all. |
