As well as a patchwork quilt tent canvas. Most had prior military experience hence the name. that brought many things to a show and are know for helping out where ever they can. We expanded over the years to become well known at what we do. Now we represent over 100 artisans and craftsman that are well known in their venues and some just starting out. The 'Tools'willvary from person to person and the true witch knows that the onlyindispensable'tool' is her/him self. When I call the elements I might use: for North:stones; East: feathers; South: candles; West: scissors. North is Earththerefore I use something that to 'me' signifies the earth. The statue ofthesaint was carried in a procession or parade thru the streets. There is much talk about the 'degree' system that many traditions use. 'Degrees' are a tricky thing. Some covens require them, somedon't. Someunscrupulous people 'just jump to 3rd'. It is my personal opinion that ourStregaancestors did not have a degree system. I believe they definitely hadwhat Icall a 'pecking order'. The oldest ruled and depending on your age andyourknowledge, is where you stood in line. A Second Degree initiate has demonstrated that he or she: can safelylead amagical working; possesses the willingness and the capacity to ministerto theneeds of others (this includes mediating and counseling); to work withintheWitch/Wiccan/Pagan community. As I understand it, the 'Wiccan Rede' was never part of the ItalianWitchesbelief, and was not part of the Witchery born in Italy.
