The 2012 Mackenzie River Nordic Walking Challenge is sponsored through the NWT Recreation and Parks Association. Combined team walking times should be submitted to the association every second Sunday by a team captain. Teams that go the length will be entered inside a draw for prizes that includes a flight voucher for First Air, a Canada Goose jacket, a Wii Fit and mittens.
