ABC Family Literacy Day
The 6th Annual ABC Family Literacy Day in Kamloops will require place January 28th, 2012 in support of Family Literacy Day a yearly initiative
produced by ABC Life Literacy Canada to inspire children and parents to invest a minimum of 15 minutes each day enjoying a learning activity together. The theme this year is
"The Learning Journey". Learning happens everywhere, and it's simple to make learning a part of your daily life. Family Literacy Day will gather per week of fun
family events as part of Unplug Play Literacy Week.
Kamloops Early Language and Literacy Initiative (KELLI), Kamloops Community YMCA/YWCA Child Care Resource and Referral,canada goose, TNRD Library System, Interior Health Speech and
Language, School District 73, Town of Kamloops, Make Children First, Kamloops Foundation, B100, School District 73 and United Church Preschool are intending activities
that encourage families to build literacy by connecting and playing.
The 6th Annual ABC Family Literacy Day is going to be held in the Henry Grube Centre, 245 Kitchener Crescent, from 9:00 am 12:30 pm. This annual event is for families as well as their

will have a truck onsite for a "climb aboard" tour, and the Big Little Science Centre will feature an interactive booth. TNRD librarian Joelle Samson can create an
imagination centre there may also be a basic room with ongoing Mother Goose sessions. Rivercity Gymnastics will host family physical literacy activities in the games
