Corps fishing update: At Arkabutla (6625626261), crappie happen to be fairly scattered whether trolling or jigging with fish caught between 2 to 9 feet. Catfishing continues to be very good on various gears on about any bait. Most catfish happen to be taken incidentally by folks after crappie. For bass, fish soft plastics, spinnerbaits, or crankbaits 2 to 6 feet around cover (rock, wood, dead grass) on main lake points or creek channel edges. Search for clearer water for bass. The river is 2.1 feet above rule curve. Fall drawdown started Sept. 1. . At Sardis, Wyatt's Crossing Outdoors (6625512399) reports catfishing has been good on various baits within the river channel and sloughs near Hurricane Landing. There are lots of 8 to 12 inch bass in the lake. White bass can be caught off sandy main lake points and near the dam on small crankbaits or jigs. The lake is 2.3 feet above rule curve as well as on fall drawdown. . At Enid (6625634571), best reports for crappie continues to be trolling jigs and minnows or crankbaits 6 to 16 feet within the mouths of creeks and across the dam. For striped bass, fish spinnerbaits and soft plastics in planted stake beds and brush tops or perhaps in the backs of creeks in which the water is less than 3 feet within the edges. Most catfish have been landed by folks after crappie, however, many could be caught on trotlines or rodandreel. White bass have been hitting small crankbaits fished off main lake points. The lake is 2.3 feet above rule curve and on fall drawdown. . At Grenada, canada goose jacket, Collins Bait Shop (6622263581) reports good crappie fishing continues in the main lake where the two rivers join. Troll 12 to 16 feet with a chartreuse combination or blue/white jig (with spinner is much better), although crankbaits happen to be taking bigger fish. Jig fishing from Graysport to Choctaw continues to be improving fishing 3 to 8 feet near the river, parajumpers jackets canada, but fish are running smaller than for trollers. Most catfish are now being taken by crappie anglers. For largemouths, try crankbaits or soft plastics on main lake points or in the rivers and creeks where the water is under 3 feet within the edges. Schools of small bass have been noted. The river is 0.9 foot above rule curve. MDWFP began a yearlong creel survey of spillway anglers now. Click this link for draw hunt procedures, he states. Meals noted that the agency in its fall electro fishing, usually picks up 200300 bass and just 15 is going to be spotted (about 1 %). He said they are usually available on rocky and/or sandy points, occasionally long ago inside a creek. "A fair proportion of striped bass within the flood control reservoirs possess a little bit of a tooth patch on the tongue, to ensure that is not a surefire method to differentiate," Meals said. "Also consider the coloration (spots lines of spots below lateral line, overall color more aqua than plain green), length of upper jaw (with mouth closed it will likely be past the back of eye on LMB), and amount of separation of spiny and soft dorsal fin (LMB more separated, spot more connected). We see comparable proportion on Sardis. They're much rarer on Grenada, and that i can't recall ever seeing one in Arkabutla."
