Top Christmas songs from the 80's and 90's
Christmas songs from the 80's and 90's seem to have a different intending to me now than it did then. I don't appear to obtain the Christmas spirit anymore using the Christmas music that's being released nowadays. I quickly will hear a song that I remember in the 80's and 90's. I recieve that excited childish grin and subsequently thing I understand I have the Christmas spirit.
It is hard to explain these feelings but all I can have to say is I feel like I am back in my teen years. Free spirited and just having fun at Christmas time. Enjoying family and friends with no care on the planet. Christmas music of the 80's and 90's have meaning for all who grew up during those two decades.
Now every Christmas I break out these old Christmas classics to just get into the Christmas spirit. For those who remember Christmas throughout the 80's and 90's and the wonderful Christmas music that came out of the above decades, its time to return to the 80's and 90's!
I put together a short list of the very best 90's Christmas songs. There are plenty of good Christmas songs from the 90's too that I only included the top ten.
11990 "GrownUp Christmas List" David Foster featuring Natalie Cole Written by David Foster (music) and Linda Thompson Jenner (lyrics). Newer hit versions include Amy Grant (1992), Barbra Streisand (2001), Michael Bubl (2003), Kelly Clarkson (2003) and Clay Aiken.
21991 "'Til Santa's Gone (Milk And Cookies)" Clint Black
31992 "I Wish Everyday Might be Like Christmas" Jon Bon Jovi Bside towards the Bon Jovi song "Keep the Faith". Also replaced "Back Door Santa" on later pressings of the 1987 various artists holiday compilation A Very Special Christmas,canada goose sale online.
41993 "Hey Santa!" Carnie and Wendy Wilson Bubbled under the Hot 100 in 1994. In the album Hey Santa!. McLachlan's version of the song was recorded in 1994 and first appeared around the soundtrack to that particular year's remake of Miracle on 34th Street. McLachlan also included her version on her 2006 holiday album Wintersong.
61995 "Christmas Eve/Sarajevo Savatage TransSiberian Orchestra The song is really a medley including "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" along with a hard rock form of "Carol of the Bells". First released in 1995 around the Savatage album Dead Winter Dead, but the same recording was rereleased in 1996 like a track around the TransSiberian Orchestra album Christmas Eve along with other Stories.
