Brisbane Broncos staying individual with injury cursed kid Jordan Kahu
The sight of Kahu elongating in preseason has been a identifying image for many in the club, including Kiwi Check forward Alex Glenn, who focused his 2012 marketing campaign to his luckless young colleague.
When the Broncos open their season using a trial against the Cowboys in Mt Isa on Saturday week,Parajumpers jakker, it will be exactly 12 months since Kahu's joint collapsed during an tried out comeback.
He had his second reconstruction in consecutive seasons, an issue that could have easily ended the career of a rookie still expecting an NRL breakthrough.
Kahu, that turns 22 upon Monday, refuses to surrender.
Back running with the NRL squad, Kahu must face his demons,www.ativa.se/parajumpers.html, yet Griffin says there is no pressure on the highlyrated youngster to prove his well worth after two disturbing seasons.
"I'll wait and discover how he will go,'' Griffin said. "I haven't got any expectations of Nike jordan, I just want him to stay injuryfree.
"I hope Jordan will get through the trials along with gets a chance to participate in some footy this year, exactly where that is.
"He hasn't played any senior footy whatsoever due to injury but as a junior they showed his talent. We're keeping the fingers crossed he or she stays fit and it's really important that we remain patient with Jordans because he has been out of footy for so long.''
Kahu has trained in virtual solitude for two years.
While his teammates bonded about the training paddock and in NRL online games, the 183cm fullback, centre or perhaps fiveeighth did the hard back yards alone, rowing, cycling and throwing heavy basics around without criticism.
Such mental fortitude is why Kahu is a popular figure at Red Mountain, and why Griffin is convinced he can triumph through cracking the top rank.
"He has showed a lot of character to get to this aspect where he is portion of our NRL squad,'' Griffin explained.
"He's not the first bloke to go through a recouvrement in his early many years.
"Gerard Beale went through it and came back strongly.''
Broncos fiveeighth Corey Gary, one of Kahu's good mates, believes the wellbuilt power needs only an injuryfree run to prove the guy can succeed in the NRL.
"Jordy is actually training really well,'' Norman said. "He's training tremendous at the moment so it could be good if she got a chance this year.
"I went along to school with Jordy so he's a good partner of mine. I'm not sure how he's used it. I was in treatment for two weeks and I was over it, thus for him to get it done for two years, he has done very well to leave that.
