Calf tenderness is not necessarily a problem with the VFF; here are some applying for grants reducing calf soreness.
1. I estimating that you landing in your forefoot, and your heel is not touching the ground. If that the case,parajumpers, you could test allowing your base to relax briefly in order that the heel touches along.
2. Try a more midfoot landing. The midfoot landing can be on the outside edge as well as allowing the base to roll over for the ball of the foot. It may be that you will be doing too much, too soon, and you just need to lessen the amount and build upwards more slowly.
NB: While cellule soreness is not automatically a problem, issues with your arch is more challenging to overcome. If you're employed to shoes with mid-foot ( arch ) support, it can take time for your foot in order to rebuild its power. Watch out for issues from the foot and back off if you have a problem.
