Ottawa walk honours Birkenstock boston Marathon bombing victims
Runners in Ottawa marched from Parliament Mountain to the American Embassy in memory of the patients from the Boston Marathon bombings one week ago.
The particular onekilometre trek began after speeches from Sharon Johnston, spouse of Gov. Gen. David Johnston, and Phil Marsh, regional manager of the local Jogging Room stores.

More people are coming out to express that we will not change our backs, we will not hide, and we will continue to look out for each additional. Ambassador David Jacobson spoke for the walkers once they achieved the embassy.
"I want to appreciate all of you, every one of an individual, for coming out today, and all the people throughout Canada who took part in events like this over this last week," Jacobson said.
