Sure Step Orthotics
Isabella's physical therpist recommended Positive Step Orthotics on her. She mentioned that the cost is about $800.Double zero, but that with a new precription from the doctor that lots of insurances will cover the idea. Well, as it prove, mine doesn't. So, I called a nearby orthotics shoe keep and they said for children they would charge somewhere within $50 $75 (huge price cost savings),parajumper, but that they would need to see her to make sure. So, I created an appointment for in a few days.
My question is this . . . . if your child wears Certain Step (or some sort of orthotics), how much achieved it cost and did your insurance pay for it? Also, did you use any other orthotics that has been different from Sure Phase that works just as well?
My4 hey with DS can be on his Next pair. His very first were sure actions and our insurance plan covered them speculate we had not achieved our deductible all of us paid $950 out of pocket nevertheless the they were closer to $1200. He just got his Next pair but they are unsure step. Same principle, different brand. These were around $1000 as well. Once again we paid due to the fact we had not met deductible. We were informed that our insurance handles one pair a long time which is ridiculous given that they need new ones each 1218 mos due to growth. I think my son walks much better with them. We had arrived told by our 1st orthotist (we moved) that children with DS must wear them until they're done growing because it will help them in the long run. He or she went on to say that he can tell the kids which have worn them since their gait is more normal. Our new orthotist (significantly younger) would not give me a opinion a proven way or the other. Way more information then you asked for, yet bottom line is that I believe that they are worth it and as long as my son requires them I will continue to pay for them.
