What the performance benefit of track spikes for distance events throughout track and field
Not sure where you're watching track, parajumpers norge, but when I was in high school, canada goose, nearly everyone wore course spikes (and xc spikes for cross country). The advantage isn't just in the traction, it's as much inside the weight. I haven't discovered any serious research on it, but the principle seems to be about 14 seconds/mile for each ounce involving shoe 1015+ seconds/mile, 3045+ seconds away from a 5k. Now, is there absolute proof with this? As I said, not that I will find, but have a 5ounce shoe in one hands and a 15ounce shoe from the other and pick up them both up and down a couple of thousand times along with tell me which palm gets tired 1st.
Imagine you experimented with run on ice with your running shoes. You're not planning to have any traction and you are not going to get far. Actually you'll probably slide. If you were to use monitor spikes,Parajumpers Kodiak, the surges would dig in to the ice and you might gain significantly more traction.
It is the same primary when running for the track surface. The actual spikes catch the surface and give you more grip. Thus there is a smaller amount "slipping" of your shoes about the track surface,Parajumpers Norge.
Overall,www.olasvallarta.com/2013/10/parajumpers-zomerjas/, it is basically used for performance optimization. I'm not sure if there are any studies done on whether they actually increase efficiency, but I personally would likely suspect they do.
