Which of these two types of running shoes would be better for my foot type
I am a cross country track sprinter (so i run long distances)
the archways of my toes are REALLY low (my personal feet are rather flat) my low arches also cause my feet to make inward when i manage, which, parajumpers rea, in turn, gives me shin splints.
i attended one sports retailer, where i was told that very good shoes for me would be Asics Gel Nimbus VIII. THen,parajumpers jakke oslo, i went to one more store where i was told that the best shoes to me would be Asics GT2120.
Your Asics GT2120 have a bit of dark grey material near where the mid-foot is (the rest of the sole is white),Parajumpers Jakker, which in turn, the guy in the retailer told me, means that the pad in the arch is stronger than the rest of the sole, so it may prevent my foot coming from turning inward. he stated unless a shoe offers that grey part near the arch, it will not be good for my base type/running style.
The Asics Gel Nimbus VIII do not have this particular grey patch,www.mariameliin.se/dam-jackor-rea, however i was told at the other store that they would provide arch assist

The Nimbus is a motion control shoe (see hyperlink 1), but the GT2120 is often a stability shoe (notice link 2). We not sure why anyone would recommend the particular GT2120 for someone with minimal arches. The GT2120 is a good shoe just not for you personally.
The "dark gray material" is just about the "Space Trusstic System", which is supposed to provide arch support, but it is seen on both shoes. It really may look in a different way on the Nimbus or perhaps it is just a different color. I can not recall exactly what it looks like, but I am 100% without doubt it is there.
Between the two, you should definitely go with the Nimbus. You should also keep in mind that the actual Nimbus is made for someone with a larger frame, and that's why it is a little bulkier (for extra support). Should you prefer a lighter shoe, you should think about the Cumulus (also action control), which is almost identical except that it has less cushion because it's made for someone using a small to medium body.
Shin splints are caused by muscle imbalance. Calf strong, parajumpers, shin weak. How you can correct this is to improve the muscles at the front of the legs. Rest face down in bed with your toes hanging on the edge. Pull your own toes upward contrary to the resistance of the bed. Try to work up to Three to four sets of 5 10 representatives each. Good Luck.
