Jews fear campaign associated with hate after episodes in Montreal
Over the weekend, a person tossed a rock through that front eye-port in an apparent campaign of hate crimes targeting six associated with Montreal's Jewish institutions.

Rabbi Reuben Poupko, who sits on the community's security board, says some people are usually clearly targeting Jews inside the city and that people in the community feel "extraordinarily affected."

The weekend incidents brought judgement from Liberal Innovator Michael Ignatieff.
"The attacks . . . stand for a series of hateful and systematic acts not just in institutions but with a religious community itself," Ignatieff said in the statement.
"Our thoughts as well as prayers are along with Jewish communities throughout Canada that once once more have been made to believe their congregations and the children in their schools get cause to fear because of their safety."
Ignatieff explained government efforts to aid provide security for this sort of institutions haven't eliminated far enough.
