"It really was exciting to help make the team," Charlene said. "My Pop played hockey and all sorts of my friends played too before I did so I just started when I was younger and kept by using it."

The girls' journey began having a regional evaluation camp in April, that was followed by provincial team tryouts in August. From the 40 players invited to attend, 23 were selected for the Atlantic Challenge Cup team that competed in Moncton,canada goose jacket, NB,doudoune canada goose, during the Thanksgiving weekend.
Fitness levels became the main factor in determining the final 20player roster for that Canada Games team which was announced on Oct. 19, head coach Colin Carroll explained.
"Both play a variety of sports and also at a high level," he explained. "I realize that both worked hard in the summer to organize for that camp in August which surely assisted in their choice for the 23player roster for Moncton.
"The battles at the Games will be tougher and that we have provided the players having a serious fitness program that they need to report weekly on to the coaching staff. This can only aid them to be further ready for balance bigger event."
As the female hockey category is available to athletes under 18 by December 31, Coach Carroll sees both 15yearolds to be well positioned to play important roles on the team's offensive and defensive units.
"Sara uses her good strong skating skills to get to the web and create offensive chances," he explained. "She also shoots the puck well which is important for a forward.
"Charlene plays an audio positional game spending so much time to keep the puck from our net. She's a great shot blocker, that is a good thing for any defenseman,www.billbellformayor.com/2013/10/parajumpers-parka-como, and her slapshot has additionally shown good improvement."
