let Anthony know that this individual still had some signs up, you should make contact with all the other people as their signs are still up and tell them to adopt them down as well. They probably won't "think" of it otherwise and some of which could stay getting the club next election if you don't.
You know, it's irritating that they place 'em all up, or have their folks do it, then do not care enough to look at 'em down. Ditto with garage sale indications and lost puppy signs, etc. The thing is them up for weeks or months. I'm often like "geez, that's a Lengthy garage sale."
I once FOUND a dog and also went around Self-reliance Park putting up "FOUND DOG" indications everywhere with a explanation and my cell phone , on each and every disgusting street just about. At some point, the person called us who owned the dog and then I had to (soreness in the hiney) go back about and take down every one of the signs. It was possibly that, or leave 'em up until they will blew away. Personally, I'm not going my personal information away blowing in the wind flow, but that's just myself.
Note from the periodical staff:
We have limited time for interviews and in this case, Blankenship had no apparent community or governmental experience in Anchorage, and indicated he would not be an aggressive candidate by declaring that he planned to raise and spend less when compared with $5,000 against a candidate who raised as well as spent considerably more."The over statement failed to include that myself and Busick have been also left out, so we all happened to declare less than $5,000. We refused contributions, in order to display my merely interest is serving people and not special passions, and those same 'special interests' surpassed me in the media. This issue will be addressed within the public, with me being the catalyst. Next selection, ALL candidates will probably be offered equal some time to coverage, regardless of political affiliation or campaign funds or don't have thereof. This type of discrimination has to be confronted and ceased. This behavior maintains out the actual common person from getting into office. They do this in order that the monetary rotating door keeps rotating, and someone using principle, wishing to provide the common people, can't mess up their schedule. We all know this, yet still vote them in. Will we ever learn?
About the muni campaign! We wasn't happy with the particular media coverage relating to all of the candidates operating because of their [lack of] fund raising efforts. In fact, Mister. Lemons, did you engage in any of the public conversation sessions with the additional candidates? Yours would be a stealth campaign, below the radar. IMO, I would have liked to hear the views even though I'm not registered to election in the Muni., because I enjoy public discourse over issues. Thanks for adding yourself out thereI'm anxious to listen to, here, here!
I wasn't covered much, simply, as you know, the Everyday News had an idea, and they even stated why I did not get much coverage; funds!!! They deemed just about all candidates who recorded the 'exempt' form with APOC as "uncompetitive". I was the only candidate, probably inside the city's history, to refuse even a penny from any group or individual, yet, I used to be eclipsed by the writein, Josh Brand's coverage in the news. My belief has been reinforced, that those who desire only to serve and nothing more are ignored by the big money agencies. I wasn't asked to some forums, including the 'why I am running' section of the Daily News, due to "uncompetitiveness". Depressing. Read the post on my blog all about it. We, the voting community need to start a completely new way of voting. Vote for those who are not bought by simply unions or the top-notch. Here is video associated with me at one particular forum: Video
I need to have come at a bad time for some of a person. Anyway, it was a fun campaign, meeting a number of people and hearing different issues. I truly thought from the day of submitting candidacy that I had a very slim chance of earning, but needed to at least get my communication out through the mass media.
I wish I realized what you meant through "take my loss like a man". I ran a reputable campaign, all while not stooping to negativity in the direction of other candidates. Did I miss one thing? How am I not being "like a man?." Will there be anyone here that could fill me in on that unwarranted opinion?
