Subscribe to walking challenge
NWT Community members, schools and workplaces are encouraged to form groups and together "walk the distance" of the Mackenzie River from Fort Providence to Tuktoyaktuk. The 2012 Mackenzie River Nordic Walking Challenge is sponsored through the NWT Recreation and Parks Association.
Combined team walking times should be submitted to the association every second Sunday by a team captain. Teams that go the length will be entered inside a draw for prizes that includes a flight voucher for First Air, a Canada Goose jacket, a Wii Fit and mittens. Visit the association's website for registration details. The deadline to go in is Jan. 15.

LLI GOLINE/NORMAN WELLS The Norman Wells Recreation Department is hosting afterschool sports in the MacKenzie Mountain School on Wednesdays from 3:45 to 4:30 and Thursdays from 2:45 to 4:30 for kids in grades 3 to 12,parajumpers jackets canada. The annual tournament will require place from Jan. 20 to 22. Teams from Fort Providence and Hay River are required to attend in addition to two or three Fort Simpson teams. Invitations are also sent to hockey teams in Tulita and Yellowknife.
